William Thomas was the second son of Joseph and Ellen.
He was born in London and baptised 31 March 1872.

He was two years old when the family sailed to New Zealand.

He married Laura Jane Boyer WEBB (who had been born 1876 in Auckland), 5 September 1898.

William Henry,born 15 March 1903,Gisborne, who married Ivy  Alice ALLPRESS. Ivy died in August 2003 in her 100th year.

Nancy Boyer, DOB 10 August 1918; married Albert Sampson (Darkie) McWHINNIE,11 August 1941, in Masterton.
He served in World War 2. After the war, they lived in Petone, and then he returned to the army and was posted to New Plymouth. When he left the army, he worked for Inland Revenue until his retirement. He was a founder of the Merrilands Boys' Club and a member of Civil Defence Police.
He died in New Plymouth 9 December 2001.
She died at new Plymouth 14 July 2006

In 1902, Laura and William Thomas were living at Western Spit, Napier.

Snowsill Road, Waihirere, Gisborne,
is named after this family. To find it, travel
north along State Highway 2 from Gisborne
towards Opotiki. Turn right into Back
Ormond  Road, and Snowsill Road is the
first  intersecting road.
Alternately, Back Ormond Road, is the road
that Gisborne hospital is on-just follow it
