Richard and Euphemia ANDERSON and family in Dunedin,New Zealand


The family left Glasgow on "Sevilla " 1st July 1862 and arrived at Port Chalmers on board :"Sevilla" on 11th  November.




















Richard's occupation was "hawker" and the family lived in the Carisbrooke area of Dunedin.
Richard died 25th September 1872 and is buried in Dunedin's Southern Cemetery.
Euphemia died of Chronic phthisis on 18th August 1880 and is buried with Richard.

Catherine born c1837-1838, married in Dunedin 1st November 1864, David McKENZIE. She died in Dunedin in 1873.

Robert born c 1839. Died 1843

Marion born c1840,married in Dunedin 1867, James William KENNEDY. She died 1876.

Elizabeth born 1842,married in Dunedin 27th July 1864, David Smart ARNOTT. She died 15th February 1926 and is buried at portobello Cemetery,near Dunedin..

Houston born c1846. He died between 1851-1855.

Joan (na) born 1847, married at kaikarai Church, Dunedin 6th March 1867,Adam WHITE. They lived at Mihiwaka near Port Chalmers and had 8 children- Aniie born 3 Feb 1868; Richard born 9 Aug 1869, Euphemia born 29 April 1871; Eliza born 24 Mar 1873; Catherine born 7 Feb 1875; Thomas Burns born 16 June 1877; Adam born c1878 and ? born 1882.
. She died 1921.

Euphemia born 1855,married Dunedin 23 October 1874,Andrew CHISHOLM. They had 2 children, Euphemia, born c1875, and Benjamin born c1877. She died 27th October 1928 and is buried at Port Chalmers cemetery.
